Speaking on Inooro TV on Wednesday evening, Waititu said: "The experience in the cell made us realise that beyond our political status, we are human beings."

He candidly recalled how they used shoes as pillows.

"We had only our shoes for pillows since the officers ensured nothing came from outside," he said.

The MP was recounting the events that led to his arrest, his experience and the way forward in his political dreams.
