At an event in West Pokot County, the leaders led by the county Governor Simon Kachapin said they will support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election in 2017.

They claimed Jubilee has transformed the country.

Mr Kachapin was accompanied by Kapenguria MP Samuel Moroto, KANU bigwig John Lodinyo and ODM point man in the region Rev Julius Murgor.

Governor Kapachin becomes the first governor to declare his support for Uhuru's re-election in 2017 despite other governors including the CoG chair Peter Munya claiming that the government is frustrating devolution and governors by delaying disbursing money.

In his declaration to support Jubilee Alliance party the governor said: "The Jubiliee government has offered solutions to our people's problems and hence I will lead the campaign for Uhuru's re-election in 2017."
