Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga has been asked to prepare for a humiliating defeat in the 2022 general elections.
According to Isaac Motari, a Jubilee party politician, Raila will lose to Deputy President William Ruto in the polls.
Motari lauded DP Ruto for the numerous trips he is making to the Gusii region to seek support ahead of the 2022 polls.
"There is no doubt DP Ruto will beat Raila hands down in 2022. Ruto is busy traversing Nyamira and Kisii counties to seek support from community members while Raila is busy sleeping and come 2022 he will start claiming he has been rigged out," said Motari.
The politician made the remarks on Wednesday at Obwari area in Bomariba Ward during a meeting with members of the Obwari Nyabwari self-help group.
"He (Raila) and any other presidential aspirant should be prepared for a defeat in 2022. DP Ruto's efforts to seek support from Kenyans are seen and therefore we should not expect people like Raila to claim that rigging has taken place once DP Ruto wins the presidency," he added.
Motari argued that the DP's tour of Nyamira County on Monday was successful, adding that Ruto is slowly making inroads in the region which is perceived as Raila's stronghold.
