Borabu MP Ben Momanyi now wants National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale to apologise to Cord leader Raila Odinga over his ‘unwarranted attack’ regarding the National Youth Service saga.

The Garissa Town MP was this week implicated by former Devolution CS Ann Waiguri in her affidavit over the alleged loss of Sh791 million from the NYS alongside Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba-Murkomen.

The two who have denied Waiguru's claims, had initially dismissed the opposition leader’s remarks on money loss as propaganda.

But on Thursday, the furious Wiper MP while addressing his supporters in Nyansiongo, told off Mr Duale, and demanded that he apologises for 'defaming' the former premier.

“Duale owes my coalition leader Raila Odinga an apology. He has been implicated in the same scandal that he dismissed, accusing us of playing politics and propaganda. His unwarranted attack against the former premier deserves an apology. In fact, he should have done that long time ago,” he said.

Momanyi accused Mr Duale of double speak on vital issues concerning the welfare of all Kenyans, and challenged the vocal URP MP to ‘do Kenyans justice’ by apologising to the former premier and the nation at large.

“He is fond of double speak. The other day he was a vocal defender of Waiguru and now he has turned to be the chief critic when he was mentioned in the scandal. He must do justice to Kenyans by apologising to Mr Odinga, who had revealed the loss of money only to be ridiculed and abused by Duale,” added Momanyi.

He also challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to declare corruption a national disaster and invite international bodies to investigate corruption related issues.

“Time has come for the president to admit that this is indeed a national disaster. We also need help from international community to tackle it because all three arms of government are corrupt,” he said.
