Mr Ranguma took his time out of his busy schedule to go and celebrate with his former school, Kisumu Girls as other prominent people in Nyanza congratulated their schools including Maseno for performing well in last year's KCSE examinations.

When he revealed that he is an alumnus of a girl school, people were surprised including the students who had gathered in the institution's hall to celebrate their sterling performance where they had posted a mean score of 9.9 in the just released KCSE exams.

The school had 16 plain As, A- (85), B+ (69), B (50), B- (22) and 11 as candidates posted C+.Years back, Kisumu Girls and Kisumu Boys High schools used to share classrooms.

The girls would be admitted at Kisumu Boys for Form five and six, while the same would apply for the boys.

"This used to be my school and I am happy it is continuing to shine. I am a proud alumnus of Kisumu Girls," said Ranguma, adding that those he was with can attest to the fact that he was very humble when he was in Kisumu Girls.

He stated that he is happy to be associated with Kisumu Girls and is willing to help the institution excel even further."I will be sitting down with the school management so that we can chat a way forward on how best we can make the school, which is now a national school to perform even better," said Ranguma.

Ranguma even said he should have been speaking good Swahili if the institution was performing well in Kiswahili the way it is doing currently where they posted a mean grade of 11.45.

So proud was Ranguma of his former school, that he promised them a bull, bread and margarine so that they can celebrate their win in exams.
