A section of Ukambani politicians have been luring Kalonzo out of the Raila led opposition.

The politicians led by Machakos town MP Victor Munyaka say that Kalonzo’s dreams of being in government will not be realized if he is still in the Raila Odinga led opposition.

On Sunday during a fundraiser drive attended by Deputy President William Ruto at St Joseph Catholic church Mutituni in Machakos, Munyaka said that Raila is only using Kalonzo to achieve his political agenda.

“Kalonzo has no chance in Cord and its time he woke up and joined the Jubilee government,” he said.

Munyaka said that Kalonzo has an opportunity to be in government come 2017 if he joins Jubilee.

“As Kamba politicians, we will continue to woe Kalonzo to join Jubilee,” he said.

Political analysts say that Kalonzo might ditch the opposition if the pressure for him to abandon Raila continues.

Peter Ngure, a Kiambu based political analyst says that Kalonzo is known to make impromptu decisions and could easily change his mind and quit Cord.

“Chances of Kalonzo ditching Cord are high and with the pressure being piled on him he might soon abandon Raila,” says the analyst.

On Sunday during a rally at Tononoka grounds in Mombasa, Kalonzo said that he will work with anyone who is ready to endorse him as the flag bearer.

He said that he will use every means to ensure that he is in government come 2017.

Kalonzo alongside Raila and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula have declared interest in the presidential seat in next year’s polls.
