Machakos county will hold it's first ever talents festival this year.
The festival dubbed, 'Macha talanta fest,' will take place on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the famous Machakos Peoples park.
The festival is one of its kind as it will incorporate several kinds of artistic expressions including singing, dancing, rapping, spoken word and poetry.
Another reason why this year's Machakos talents festival is unique is that the winners will not only get various prizes and goodies but will also be awarded recording deals.
Some of the organizations that have partnered with the Machakos county government to put up the event together include Machahood and T-sounds records.
This festival aims at identifying, nurturing and promoting talents among the youth.
Most talented youths, after failing to get the necessary support, end up watching their dreams go down the drain. Some even decide to join gangs and other outlawed sects just to make ends meet.
