South Mugirango Member of Parliament Sylvanus Osoro has said that there was no need for money to be used in the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) mobilisation since nobody has come out to oppose the report.
On his twitter account, Osoro stated that it was possible that this was a loophole for public funds to be stolen and the campaigns and mobilisation were a cover-up.
"Why waste taxpayers money on BBI mobilisation yet no one is opposing it? This is a loophole for public funds to be stolen. The mobilization and campaigns are a cover-up for the biggest scandal in history. #BBINonsense. Kenyans should stay woke," he wrote.
Osoro went ahead to state that during the meeting matters that will help local mwananchi were not addressed.
"For the record, WE ALL SUPPORT the BBI as there is no opposition. Whats the 'popularity' about? worse still, using PUBLIC MONEY?? They came in choppers and fuel guzzlers, spent YOUR money in hrs to tell you how further they will con you. Were your interests covered," he asked.
"Swala nyeti kwa wale walihudhuria mkutano wa BBI in Kisii (an important question to those who attended the BBI meeting in Kisii), were issues on jobs for the youth, improved healthcare, quality education, better roads, clean water & food security addressed?" Osoro added.
A BBI public participation and consultative meeting was held on Friday in Kisii where several leaders were in attendance.
