This is all thanks to her quirky artwork that she brings to life with a pencil between her fingers.

International news outlet Cable News Network (CNN) has posted a profile piece about her on its news portal, a powerful testament to the appeal of her body of work.

She told CNN that she fell head over heels with drawing many years ago and the love for what she does has only grown even stronger.

It is when she joined high school that she felt a strong urge to tell the story of the African woman through drawing.

In a subconscious way, she ended up drawing white women and it took someone pointing that out to her for her to take notice.

"I have always been drawing, " she said.

"I had this folder in high school where I used to keep some of my drawings. Most of my models had white complexions and I didn't realize I was doing this until someone pointed it out, " she added.

Ouma's love for the fashion industry and African women can only be described as overpowering.

In fact, the two are what inspire her work.

She decided to consciously focus on illustrating the experiences of African women because she could not find an illustrator who was keen on doing this for an African woman.
