Nairobi County governor Mike Sonko and his co-accused will spend two more nights in police cells.
This is after the court pushed ruling on his bail application to Wednesday at 11 am.
In an event aired live in Citizen TV, Anti-Corruption Magistrate Douglas Ogoti said that it would not be possible for him to make a ruling on the bail application on Tuesday.
"I cannot deliver the ruling tomorrow since my diary is tight, so let's try on Wednesday at 11 am," said Magistrate Douglas Ogoti.
The prosecutors had opposed Sonko's bail application saying he's a flight risk.
He will be taken back to the EACC police cells where he has been since his arrest on Friday.
As requested by his lawyers, Sonko will, however, be given medical attention as ordered by the court.
Earlier, the county boss denied graft allegations levelled against him.
He was dramatically arrested on Friday in Voi and airlifted to EACC offices after DPP Nordin Hachi ordered his arrest.
Sonko spent 3 nights in police cells before being brought to court on Monday
Among those who appeared for the governor in Milimani courts on Monday include the majority leader of the senate Kipchumba Murkomen, his lawyer for long time Dan Manzo and Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior and lawyer Nelson Havi.
