The officer in charge of the disabled aid in Machakos county has encouraged the disabled men to come out in large numbers to register for help.
Speaking on Tuesday during a session with the people living with disability Gloria Kimeu called upon their caregivers to register their people in both social and financial projects.
"We have had women living with disability come out in large numbers and take part in social activities where they benefit alot. However, men have not been active in our activities," said Kimeu.
Kimeu was speaking during an exercise that saw some disabled persons receive wheelchairs.
The guardians and caregivers of people with disabilities were also urged not to marginalize them.
"Instead of stigmatizing the people abled differently just mobilize them so as to join groups and other like them in training so as to start businesses and live normal lives," she added.
