According to the Kenya National Library Chairman Sam Nyangweso, there is a need for the leaders to organise events which will help the talented people in society.

“We have the best singers from the region but the only problem is that they are not supported, I would like to challenge the leaders to come up with the measures on how we can help the musicians as one way of motivating them,” said Nyangweso.

Nyangweso challenged the governor to organise for music event which will bring all churches together.

"Some politicians think that being far from the church is when they can be elected I would like to tell them that in the church more so in music is where they can get votes,” He said

In addition, he said that musician from other communities were recognised simply because their leaders have supported.

"It is unfortunate when one of our own won the Groove award but she was not supported by our leaders we need to change and help our talented youths," he added.
