Coach Henry Omino had to wait until the 89th minute to kill off Sharks’ resilience. The win came after 8 previous attempts, with the team having lost against Ulinzi Stars, Nzoia Sugar, Western Stima, Posta Rangers and Mathare United coupled with draws against KCB, Sony Sugar and Chemelil Sugar.

All-Stars’ players were recently handed new contracts on Friday by the Kisumu County government, which sponsors the side.

The team’s next assignment is against Wazito FC on November 20. In other matches played on Saturday, KCB drew 1-1 with Tusker FC while Sammy Omollo’s Posta Rangers thrashed Chemelil Sugar 3-0.

Six matches will be played on Sunday as follows: Gor Mahia vs AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz vs Western Stima, Sofapaka vs Wazito FC, Sony Sugar vs Mathare United, Ulinzi Stars vs Bandari FC and Zoo Kericho vs Nzoia Sugar.
