Equity Bank clients in Kisumu town should expect frequent innovations aimed at improving their customer experience with the bank, all geared towards making banking a lifestyle.
On Thursday, customers joined the bank’s staff during the launch of its new logo. Equity Bank aims to entrench innovation and customer-centrism in its DNA-- having customers at the centre of every product and making customer feedback a major part of the brand’s new promise and strategy for the next 35 years.
Speaking while leading an event to unveil the new logo and celebration, Equity Bank’s Kisumu Supreme Branch Manager Erick Tuda said that the new strategy implores them to continue improving customer experience.
“We now have a strategic plan for the next 35 years. We have changed the logo to suit the changing times and to show that we are a modern bank. We are asking that our customers be with us and take us through another 35 years of success,” said Mr Tuda.
“We have retained the essence of the logo. There are a lot of changes that have come into the market, among them digital products,” said Tuda who joined the Kisumu Supreme Branch over a year ago.
He added, “We have a roof signifying shelter for all our customers and having them access new range of services and products. Equity is the right home for you because now you can access your money using any channel -- be it internet, be it mobile, be it at the branch or agent, we are open for all our customers.”
The Kisumu Supreme Branch become operational in 2016 and offers personalized service targeting the high net worth individuals, Corporate’s and SMEs.
Among those who attended the launch are Kisumu County Chief Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Finance and Economic Planning Nerry Achar, Fredrick Kosore, Equity Bank’s Senior Manager Government and Public Sector Banking.
Mr Achar said that they are planning to partner with Equity Bank in the area of the County’s revenue collection. He said very soon they will enter into a memorandum of understanding to increase revenue collection.
Apart from the Supreme Branch, Equity Bank has another branch along the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Street, managed by Welton Omullo and along Ang’awa Street in Kisumu managed by Alice Ouma.
Mr Omullo said the first Equity Bank Branch in Kisumu was opened in 2006, and the resident’s positive reception has helped the bank to grow in the region.
“It has been a very nice journey,” he said.
