Semelang'o was sent to civil jail for 30 days after failing to pay an Sh3.6 million debt owed to city lawyer George Miyaro since 2016, one that he appears unable to clear.

But this comes as irony from a man who at some point would drive in a Range Rover Sport guzzler with a Prado as his chase car, with two expensive watches on each hand.

Last year, he told a local publication that “because time is money, and I take my time very seriously”, hence his two watches worth hundreds of thousands of shillings.

The ex-Football Kenya Federation President aspirant claimed that the watches showed different time zones while urging Kenyans that making money is a must, giving an image of a super-rich individual.

In an interview on NTV, the man who claimed that he is into fuel, modelling and other businesses said that he also believes in the fake it till you make it mentality.

“In order to be comfortable in life, you’ve got to be rich. But then you need money because then you can eat what you want to eat, when you want to eat it, with whom you want to eat it," Semelang'o was quoted by Daily Nation when asked to explain his remarks.

A look at his Facebook profile further points at a wealthy and financially muscular man, who is, however, now giving out a completely different image.
