The National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition will remain intact to the 2022 polls, despite appearing scattered currently, political analyst Mwangi Njui has predicted.

Njui says that while the alliance appears broken beyond repair, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)'s win and latest actions will intimidate the others from leaving the alliance.

He says that while the Amani National Congress (ANC) and Ford Kenya might have been on their way out, ODM's win in the Kibra race will scare them from leaving the alliance.

"NASA will remain intact because Mudavadi and company have realized that they can't survive out of NASA( NASA itabaki ilivyo maana akina Mudavadi wameona wakiondoka NASA hawaponi)," he said on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi's Cheche show on Saturday evening.

About Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Njui is of the idea that ODM leader Raila Odinga's mobilization of all the Ukambani governors to his Kibra campaigns will be an eye opener for him, keeping him put.

He observed that Raila deliberately brought the three; Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Alfred Mutua (Machakos) to Kibra to technically pin Kalonzo down.

"On the other hand, Kalonzo has seen Mutua and Ngilu being pulled closer, he won't let them form an alliance with Raila. This is the strategy Raila uses. You are whipped while being pulled closer (Kalonzo naye ameona Mutua na Ngilu wamekuja, hatakubali waunge muungano na Raila. Raila hii ndiyo mbinu yake, ili ukaribie unachapwa kiboko)," he added.

This, he based on the fact that the three have been fighting Kalonzo in Ukambani, observing that with the backing of Raila, Kalonzo knows that they will completely overpower him.

But this comes at a time when each of the member parties has hinted at leaving the alliance, with ODM accusing the three parties of being a baggage.

The others have accused ODM of being disrespectful and selfish, with regards tonsharinf the political finds kitty.

Kalonzo is also reportedly in the final stages of alliance talks with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 polls.
