Political analyst Herman Manyora has said that the Luhya community might not make any major achievement in the 2022 general elections despite having good numbers.

And though the recent census results are not out yet, pundits have pointed out that if the community comes out on top, it might be the most sought after, especially by presidential hopefuls, come 2022.

Speaking on Saturday, Manyora said the community will actually not manage to better it's position at the national level, thanks to the wide rift openly visible between its top leaders.

In his weekly YouTube analysis channel Take It or Leave It, he pointed out that the community will not make any great impact owing to the division and inability by its top leaders; Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to unite.

"When you see Moses Wetangula, Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi roaming the streets still talking about Luhya unity then you begin to understand how difficult it can be for the Luhya community, when with their numbers, to make an impact st the national scene," he said on Saturday.

He also faulted the two leaders for repeatedly popularizing their unity plans only to end up achieving nothing, advising them to change tact and use a rather silent but more effective avenue to finally achieve the goal.

Manyora as well weighed in on the Kibra parliamentary race, where the two have both fielded candidates, terming it another indication of how hard it will he for them to finally join forces.

"Where is this unity where even a simple test like Kibera, where it is said the Luhya are the majority, how come the two of you are fielding two candidates? And yet to still talk about Luhya unity?" he wondered.

In the race set for November 7, Mudavadi's Amani National Congress (ANC) has fronted Eliud Owalo while Wetangula's Ford Kenya party has since approved Khamisi Butichi to contest it against other aspirants.
