Youth and women in Nakuru County have been advised to continue using government Funds prudently in a bid to improve their lives.

Speaking at the Nyayo gardens on Wednesday during the disbursement of the funds by the Public service, Youth and Gender affairs CS Cecily Kariuki, County chief officer in the Ministry of Education, Youth, Culture and Social Services Joseph Tonui said that if managed well, the Youth Fund, Uwezo Fund and Women Enterprise Funds have the ability of completely transforming the lives of the two groups for the better.

Tonui thanked CS Kariuki for allocating the largest share of the funds, which were set aside by the national government for improving the lives of the youth and women, to Nakuru County.

Nakuru County received Sh32 million which was divided among the three categories, with Uwezo Fund receiving Sh12.8 million, Women Enterprise Fund Sh18.4 million and the Youth Enterprise Fund Sh1.2 Million.
