Ukambani political leaders led by Mavoko member of parliament Patrick Makau, his Kathiani counterpart Robert Mbui and East Africa Member of Parliament Peter Mathuki have claimed that the Cord coalition marriage is shaky for the Wiper Party.
Speaking on Sunday in an event in Machakos, the three legislators faulted Raila Odinga of shortchanging Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the 2017 general elections.
They further urged the former Prime Minister to support Kalonzo Musyoka Presidential bid, arguing that he is better placed to win the presidency.
"Raila has before duped and shortchanged several people including former presidents Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki. He is about to shortchange Kalonzo Musyoka as well," said Mavoko MP Patrick Makau amid cheers.
"We as Wiper supported Raila Odinga's bid in 2013 and he lost the presidency. It is in this regard that we are asking him to support Kalonzo Musyoka for the presidency just as we did," Kathiani MP Robert Mbui charged.
There is growing disgruntlement among Wiper leaders who are now threatening to pull out the Cord coalition in the even ODM leader Raila Odinga fails to back Kalonzo Musyoka for the presidency in 2017.
