ODM party supporters have been told to be wary of attempts by some politicians to divide party supporters a head of 2017 elections.

Nyando MP Fred Outa said that ODM party supporters should remain united and not to be divided following the recent party grassroots elections.

Outa said that some politicians are out to kill the party within by sponsoring some youth to discredit the party.

“We are aware that some politicians within us are out to discredit this party and make it unpopular by employing some dirty politics due to the recent party elections,” he said.

He singled out scenes from Homa Bay County where some youth attacked the party offices and painted it white.

The MP said that such actions were meant to weaken the party and told party supporters to remain steadfast for the course of ensuring that Rail Odinga is the President in 2017.

Speaking in his constituency on Thursday after condoling with the family of Mzee Odote Ojiem following his death, who until his demise was a member of Luo Council of Elders Nyando branch, Outa said there was need for peace in the region.

He said the people of Nyanza should not be distracted by such actions and push for more registration of people for IDs and voters’ cards.

Outa said ODM will remain united and ensure to keep off politicians who are out to disintegrate it and deny Raila chance of leading the country.

“I want to appeal to party supporters not to be swayed by that bad politics but continue reaching out to our members who are not registered to do so a head of 2017,” he said.
