The opposition leader, Raila Odinga has come out to openly discard the speculations trending on social media and Kenyan news platforms regarding his car's broken windscreen.

Raila now says that he will not jump to unwarranted conclusions noting that investigations into the matter will reveal deeper insights into the matter.

In an interview with the Standard, Raila seemed to differ with earlier news posted by his spokesperson, Dennis Onyango and Moses Wetangula that his car had been hit by a police bullet. The Cord leader further explained that he was not in his car during the incident that has sparked diverse opinions from Kenyans and international parties alike. However, the Inspector of police Joseph Boinnet has strongly affirmed that not even a single police officer fired a bullet at the opposition protestors noting that the Monday protests were under control.

As this unfolds, the Kenyan authorities have been sharply criticised and faulted for using excessive power show to quell peaceful protests from unarmed citizens.

Cord in a statement issued by Raila after the protests said that their spirit to oust the IEBC commissioners remain alive however much the government of the day collude with the police to frustrate their efforts.
