A day after DP Ruto opined that there were indeed talks about IEBC at statehouse, two MPs from the ruling coalition have come out guns blazing, all but refuting the claims by DP Ruto.

"DP has told a lie about the talks in statehouse," said a Jubilee MP who sought anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

"The talks took place. What was agreed was not about the IEBC issue though they spoke about it," said the TNA MP.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, however, was more frank about the whole issue, terming it null and void.

"These talks were null and void, if the Jubilee stance on the matter all along is anything to go by. Whether it took place in statehouse or it didn't, the issue of dialogue outside parliament doesn't arise, let the law be followed.I think its better if it goes that way," Kuria said on Monday.

CORD is aiming for dialogue citing that there are occasions that the president didn't follow the law as envisaged in the constitution such as the removal of IG David Kimaiyo and the sending of EACC chair Mumo Matemu.
