Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies (RVIBS) has been selected to participate in both national and international exchange programmes to enhance the wealth of knowledge and skills.
Speaking in Nakuru on Saturday during the RVIBS' 16th graduation ceremony, institution's Director John Kimemia Gitau revealed that they already have trainers from South Africa with several others expected from Germany as from January 2020.
"We continue to partner with other stakeholders and through these partnerships, our students benefit a lot," he said.
Kimemia noted that the Institute is committed to offering accredited, high quality cutting-edge technical and business training that meets needs of commerce and industry.
He also challenged the more than 600 graduands to make good use of the skills gained.
"Open your eyes and see all the opportunities around you and find mentors who will help you unleash the power within you," said Kimemia.
Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri who was the chief guest reiterated the importance of education.
The vocal Nakuru legislator while addressing the graduands noted the transformation that is now being felt in society attributing it to education.
The MP also challenging youths to shun vices that may derail their dreams in life.
"Education is key in the transformation of society and as leaders, we shall support. For our youths my appeal to you is to remain calm and shun harmful vices," said Ngunjiri.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Njoro MP Charity Kathambi who revealed how she struggled with challenges of fees during her studies.
"One thing you don't know about me is that I really went through hustle during my studies. But for you, things have changed and that is why we appeal to you to make good use of the opportunities" said Kathambi.
