Christians and other well-wishers have been asked to help vulnerable people in society by providing them with basic needs and showing them love.

According to Kisii County community clinical officer Kepha King’oina, most vulnerable people in society feel stigmatised during the December holidays because they don't have what to share with their families.

King'oina who spoke to this writer in Kisii town on Thursday challenged Christians to help the needy so that they can also feel loved and appreciated during this season.

He added that there are some families affected with diseases and challenges such as jiggers which need help from well-wishers.

“There are some people in society who need help during such seasons so I urge my fellow Christians and well-wishers to help them so that they can also celebrate,” said King’oina

He also challenged officials from the county government to put measures in place to help street children.

King’oina said during December holidays, the number of street children increases hence the county should have mechanisms on how to help them.
