Shock has gripped commercial sex workers in Nakuru town after the body of their colleague was found in one of the guesthouses in the town Friday morning.
According to police, the deceased was foaming in the mouth and nose.
A sex worker in the town claimed the deceased was murdered by a client who had hired her services the previous night.
"She was spotted in the company of a man heading to Tumaini guest house where her body was found. She was not sick and she must have been murdered by the man," she said.
While confirming the incident, Nakuru head of CID James Leila said that they had launched investigations into the matter and were following crucial leads recorded on the CCTV camera mounted in the guest house.
The incident comes barely three months after several commercial sex workers were killed in bizarre ways in the area in what police suspected could have been perpetrated by a sect.
