Okoth dismissed rumours that he had fallen out with the opposition leader, adding that they are still big friends.

"Raila Odinga is my party leader and we respect each other. We have a close relationship with him and he always has my suppport," he told journalists in Nairobi on Tuesday.

"He acknowledges the work I do in Kibra. I have never betrayed him as naysayers claim. I am loyal to Raila and ODM," he added.

Raila Odinga recently failed to attend the unveiling of Raila Odinga Education Centre in Kibra despite having confirmed attendance.

A section of youths were angered by Raila's absence and this prompted chaos that forced Okoth to flee from the scene.

The youths accused Okoth of selling the Jubille Party to the grassroots after branding the event tents with tents of red colour that is ascribed to Jubilee.
