Residents of Bonchari constituency have asked former area MP John Oyioka to retire from politics.
The residents led by Omoke Dennis have stated that Oyioka who lost to Opore during the 2013 by-election can't compete with Opore in the coming polls.
"How do you expect this thing to compete with Opore since for the few months he was the MP he never initiated any project in the regions to benefit the people?" stated Omoke.
Omoke added that Oyioka has never even associated himself with fundraisers to help Bonchari youth and women groups.
"It doesn't mean that one has to be in parliament to help the needy. Oyioka should use his resources to help the people. He only wants our votes to steal public funds which will be meant for development," he argued.
"Oyioka should retire and stop associating himself with Bonchari politics since his time for leadership is up. Let him rest," said Brian Sagero.
