National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has warned Cord leader Raila Odinga against picking Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho his running mate in the 2017 polls.
Speaking in a Mombasa meeting with the Somali community on Sunday, Duale warned that such a political arrangement would ensure a resounding defeat for Raila Odinga.
"I have heard that Raila Odinga is set to pick Hassan Joho as his running mate. I want to warn Raila that he will lose terribly," Duale warned.
"Leaving out Kalonzo Musyoka who has close to 1.5 million votes or Moses Wetangula a Luhya who enjoys a lot of support in Western Kenya is political suicide," he added.
In the meeting, Duale also endorsed Abdi Dayib to vie for the Changamwe parliamentary seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
