Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege this week visited Kenyan gospel artist Jimmy Gait and other Kenyans seeking medication in India.
The singer stated that the visit by the woman rep was aimed at finding out how the Kenyan government can improve local medical services.
“Mheshimiwa Sabina Chege came to visit Kenyans who are ailing here in India. She has gathered some good information on why so many Kenyans are coming here and how the government can intervene to improve our health sector,” said Jimmy Gait.
However, the artist is yet to reveal what he is ailing from. He only requested for prayers from his fans, friends and family.
“I have been battling a condition and have gone to quite a number of hospitals and it has been decided I have to go out of the country for specialised treatment. I’m here just to ask for your prayers. If I’ve blessed you in any way through my music or any other way, it’s time for me to seek your support," he posted.
The request for prayers was also supported by the Mseto East Africa show that urged Kenyans to join Jimmy Gait for a prayer service before he flew to India.
"Gospel singer @JimmyGait who is unwell will be leaving for India this coming Sunday, 11 for specialised treatment and medical attention. There will be a prayer service on Saturday, 10 from 4pm at After 40 Hotel, Biashara Street opposite Equity Bank. Let's join him for Prayers," Mseto East Africa tweeted before the musician went to India.
