Nakuru woman representative Mary Mbugua has congratulated former Devolution and Planning CS Anne Waiguru following her clearance of corruption allegations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission on Monday.
Speaking in her office on Monday, Mbugua praised Waiguru for being a brave woman who stood firm amid allegations of graft in her Devolution docket.
She added that it was never easy for the former minister during the turbulent time in which baseless allegations were used to crucify her personality and commended her for standing steadfast.
The MP also urged Kenyans to support women in leadership positions, adding that women were increasingly being frustrated by their male colleagues especially on matters leadership.
Waiguru whose Devolution docket was embroiled in massive graft allegations over the National Youth Service funds and procurement irregularities, was early Monday cleared by the anti-graft body after it ruled out that there were insufficient evidence to link the former CS with the alleged graft.
