A new chief camp will be built at Kiuguini area in Bahati constituency bringing to an end a protracted spate of disagreement among area residents on where to build it.
Area MP Kimani Ngunjiri held a public meeting on Saturday bringing together all residents from the area who unanimously agreed to have the camp built in Kiuguini and not JC area as earlier stated.
The MP said CDF office will purchase a piece of land at Sh700, 000 while the rest Sh800, 000 will be used to set up an office for the chief.
"Sh700,000 be spent on purchasing land while the rest Sh800,000 be used to construct the chief's office,” he said.
The new chief’s camp is expected to develop the area as many residents from within face many challenges in trying to seek for basic services from a chief’s office.
