KANU Secretary General Nick Salat might face disciplinary actions following the party’s decision to convene a meeting to discuss his conduct.
This comes after his remarks at an opposition team’s rally that the independence party would support the much touted National Super Alliance without consulting members.
West Pokot senator John Longanyapuo on Wednesday criticised Salat’s move adding that disciplinary action shall be taken against him when National Executive Council meets before the week ends.
“As KANU, we have never met anywhere and made a decision to support opposition of Jubilee government. We are playing neutral politics for the sake of peace,” he said.
“Salat was not speaking on our behalf and that must be clear. We shall be meeting end week to discuss his conduct and perhaps take stern action against him,” he added.
Similar sentiments were shared by nominated senator Zipporah Kittony who accused Salat of representing the party without consulting members.
