According to community clinical officer, Kepha King’oina residents need to be educated about diseases which are affecting them so that they can know how to protect themselves.

Kingoina who was speaking on Thursday said that it is important for residents to continue visiting health facilities to be tested.

“My advice is that people should continue visiting the hospitals so that they can be tested. They should know that early detection of any diseases is so important,” said King’oina.

In addition, he said that residents should understand that TB is not witchcraft it is real and when someone has been affected with it, they need to seek medical attention.

King’oina said that TB tests are always free in all health facilities hence there is no need for one not to be tested. He also challenged traffic officers put measures in place since it has been discovered that most people got infected when traveling due to overcrowded modes of transport.
