News Editor Eric Shimoli became the latest casualty of the media house's restructuring exercise after being handed his dismissal letter on Thursday morning.

This happened one day after Sunday Nation Editor Eric Obino was pushed out of Nation Centre in what sources claimed NMG's move to do away with editors said to be critical of government.

"His replacement is yet to be announced but there is talk of associate editor Ng’ang’a Mbugua and senior reporter Bernard Namunane as possible candidates for the job," Business Today reported.

The sacking of the two has left journalists at the twin towers mum as they ponder for the next move.

NMG recently in a letter to employees announced it would be streamlining its staff with the objective of cutting operation costs.
