One police officer has been confirmed dead and two critically injured in a tragic road accident at Kithyoko, Masinga sub-county along Thika-Garissa highway.

According to eye witnesses, the police Landcruiser lost control and it was hit from the side by a lorry. 

They said that the two vehicles were at a very high speed before the accident occurred. 

The deceased was picked by Masinga police officers and taken to Matuu median hospital mortuary as the injured rushed to Matuu level four hospital for treatment.

The two vehicles were towed to Masinga police station as investigations kick off on what exactly caused the accident.
