Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga is expected to visit Kisumu West constituency on Friday (March 18), a visit that will see him tour development projects in the area.
County Women Representative Rose Nyamunga who is organising the visit said Mr Odinga will tour the entire constituency.
Ms Nyamunga said he will, during the tour, commission a water project at Kisian Primary School.
The water project was funded by Sana International in partnership with the office of the women representative.
“There are a number of projects that are turning around the lives of the locals that will be tortured, some will be commissioned by our party leader,” said Nyamunga.
Raila will also meet the constituency ODM officials where he will open up a new office to help in propagating party ideals in the constituency.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Thursday, Nyamunga said Raila will also have the opportunity to visit a number of projects initiated by her office.
She said the agri-business projects are spread across the Sub County of Kisumu West.
Nyamunga said this is the first visit made by Raila in Kisumu West and urged locals to turn up and welcome the party leader.
“The Sub County residents of Kisumu West are a happy lot, they have a visitor who will come and share with them ideas that can change their lives,” she said.
The tour of the region by Raila was slated for last month but was cancelled at the eleventh hour.
