The opposition's Wednesday meeting gave birth to the National Super Alliance (NASA) but left the choice of its flag bearer a guarded secret.
But according to Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, ODM party leader Raila Odinga will be fronted as the man to run against Jubilee's President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 general election.
Speaking during an interview with a local TV station on Thursday, the outspoken Senator said it is more likely that Raila will be the opposition candidate and that he is not convinced that the former Prime Minister will back another candidate for the country's top seat.
The Senator also opined that NASA will only hold together if sibling rivalry between Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi is not allowed to run deep, with the later having been anointed to be the Luhya community's political kingpin.
Murkomen, who himself faces a bruising battle from the former Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo for the county's senatorial seat, also appealed to residents from his county to register as voters in large numbers to boost Jubilee Party's numerical strength in the wake of a looming fierce political battle.
