The government of Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua on Thursday morning held a meeting with China Railway 21st Bureau Group Company Limited representatives who have been accorded the responsibility of constructing a highway from Arthi River to Mombasa.
The representatives in the leadership of Mr. Sun Yingtuan the company's General Manager, Mr. Lin Sung the Assistant Manager alongside Ms. Constance Nguli the Human Resource Manager met the governor with the sole aim of looking into areas of mutual interest in the county such as labour.
"....The company has been contracted to construct the Mombasa Highway dual carriage from Arthi River to Machakos turn off.
Maendeleo Chap Chap advocates for speedy development that is free from corruption, unnecessary bureaucratic procedures and bottlenecks that derail the speed of implementation of development projects. I have assured the team of my county government’s willingness to create an enabling environment so as to efficiently work on the massive project that will decongest the highway.
