According to some residents, they have accused the county government of Kisii in which almost half of the protestant hailed from that they were supposed to be in office serving mwanainchi rather than being in the streets demonstrating.

Former councilor Kepha Mogaka said that it was shocking to find the employees of the county leading some of the youths in demonstration rather than serving the citizens who needed their services.

“It is not wrong for someone to express their democratic  rights but it is shocking when you find people who need to offer services are the ring leader of the demonstrations," said Mogaka.

In addition, he accused the Cord supporters for not using the right channel in their bid of kicking the IEBC out.

“We as the business people would like to appeal to the anti-IEBC demonstrators to use the right channel as it is provided by the constitution since we are fearing for our businesses when it comes to demonstrations," he said.

“During the demonstration we have been experiencing youths looting from business people hence, we don’t want such things in our place let Cord use the right channel in disbanding IEBC,” Mogaka added.

The Monday  anti-IEBC in Kisii county was also supported by the Governor James Ongwae, Senator Chris Obure and Women Rep Mary Otara.
