Ngunjiri said in the wave of rising tribal clashes over land disputes in Nakuru County, some leaders have been found culpable of fueling the tribal wars.

He asked Uhuru to take firm action against such leaders as they are disrupting peace that the county has enjoyed over time.

“There are tribal clashes that have been experienced in this area mainly because of land ownership and there are leaders who are behind it. These are the people we want you to deal with and deal with them firmly,” he said on Thursday in a message he read on behalf of Nakuru MPs.

The Head of State has however remained quiet on land matters despite the issue being raised by several leaders from the area.

Ngunjiri had earlier indicated that Uhuru's visit to the region will consider personalities form the county in sharing of the national cake.

He had stated that the area is rich in votes and people overwhelmingly voted for Jubilee in the last general election and as such, sharing of the national cake should include Nakuru.
