Mutua claims that some politicians are plotting to divide the Kamba community for their own interests.

Speaking at Vyulya market in Mwala constituency on Wednesday, Mutua alleged that some politicians in the region are being funded to cause rifts among the people.

“You (locals) should be careful with the people who come here to address you, some of them have been sent to divide you as we approach the 2017 elections,” he alleged.

Mutua said that he will not allow some petty politicians to divide the Kamba community.

He asked politicians seeking elective seats to keep off statements that will divide the community.

The Machakos governor further affirmed his commitment to boost development of the county.

Mutua said that he is currently working on new manifestos that will boost development.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader added that he has reached out to other development minded leaders in the region who are keen to promote development.

The governor exuded confidence that Machakos locals will re-elect him in the forthcoming 2017 polls.

Several aspirants among them Machakos deputy governor Bernard Kiala and Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) leader Wavinya Ndeti have declared interest to unseat Mutua in the coming 2017 general elections.
