Bomachoge KANU party chairman Nyaboga Basweti on Tuesday said that the political ground is hostile to Jubilee after after they lost the Nyacheki ward by-election.
He noted that the return of two ODM rebel Mps who had defected to Jubilee is a clear indication that Jubilee has no popularity in the gusii region.
“After the crushing defeat in Nyacheki, they read the signs of time and returned. The ground is clearly hostile to Jubilee,” Basweti said in a statement.
Basweti's remarks comes after two Mps, Simon Ogari - Bomachoge Chache and Richard Onyonka - Kitutu Chache who had defected to Jubilee on Monday apologized and announced their return to ODM party.
Ogari and Onyonka have been campaigning for Jubilee through the Kisii unity caucus.
