Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has fired warning shots ahead of the official launching of Building Bridges Initiative report scheduled for Tuesday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday confirmed that he has set a date with the team which has been crafting the report for the last one year.
Already, a number of leaders from Uhuru's Mt Kenya backyard have been opposing the report, with its content still remaining a closely guarded secret.
On Friday, Kuria vowed that Kenyans shall not support anything shoddy, adding that he will not hesitate to speak out his mind.
“They know we will not settle for anything shoddy... we will speak our minds if we feel that we do not agree,” Kuria remarked.
The legislator has been drifting away from Uhuru, who was once his close ally. The two have been lately speaking from different scripts.
At Bungoma on Friday, Uhuru asked politicians to first read the report before going public to oppose it. He said the country needs radical changes.
“Only a fool will say that there are no issues in this country that require (to be addressed), so let us address them as adults and civilised human beings."
"Let us appreciate that we may have divergent views, but our object is to make our motherland better, to improve it,” he argued.
