Traveling by aeroplane can be an amazing experience and a dream fulfilled especially to passengers who have never before traveled by it.
Sometimes the pilots have to break some protocols to keep the passengers calm throughout the flight.
Here are the things a pilot will never share with the passengers;
1. Planes get struck by lightning most times
Pilots will not want to let passengers know that it is normal for the plane to be hit by lightning. The planes are however made in a way to withstand it and protect those insides.
2. They sleep in the cockpit
Pilots will never want passengers to know that they sleep in the cockpit. This is not because it is prohibited but because the planes have automated systems that ease the takeoff and landing.
3. Most times they are hydrated
Many pilots tend to limit themselves to consuming liquid foods. This is because they do not want to keep visiting the lavatory which might, in turn, make the passengers believe they are not fine. They can, however, relieve themselves when the copilot takes the pilot's seat.
4. The duration it will take to reach the destination
Pilots will never disclose the exact time it will take to reach a certain destination. They would add a few minutes on the supposed time so that the plane will land on time even if it runs late.
Pilots will never speak in a way so direct that the passengers onboard get to know what is being said as this might induce panic among them. Some of these are; 'air pockets' to imply there is turbulence ahead, 'code bravo' to indicate a serious danger and '7500' that the plane is at the risk of being hijacked among other codes.
