Renowned political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi has joined scores of Kenyans in wishing the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga a happy birthday.
In his message, the political scientist made note of the role that the former prime minister had played in creating high profile political figures.
As the veteran opposition leader hit another age milestone, Mutahi Ngunyi urged him to remember that revolutionaries have no expiry date.
"Happy Birthday @RailaOdinga. You created Ruto. FACT. You created Mudavadi. FACT. You created a PAPER TIGER revolutionary called #MIGUNAMIGUNA. Fact. You are a MAKER of THINGS. And as you AGE remember this: "...revolutionaries have no EXPIRY date" (Gaddafi), " the tweet read.
Raila Odinga celebrated his 75th birthday on Tuesday, coming just weeks after the public launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) that experts say will shape his political future.
All his years, the ODM supremo has been known as a revolutionary who has made a name by being in the opposition.
He has made several attempts at the presidency but all those attempts have ended in failure.
It is not yet clear whether he will be made another attempt in 2022 when Kenya is expected to hold general elections that will usher in the next government.
