The National Alliance party (TNA) officials from Kisii county have asked IEBC to extended the deadline day for voter registration exercise.

Speaking yesterday in Kisii town. The officials led by their chairman James Nyambati blamed IEBC workers for conducting a shoddy job.

"IEBC should add more days so that people can go on registering. The rotational method they are using has led to poor turnout," said Nyambati.

He also alleged that IEBC had employed very few staffs.

"Very few employees from IEBC is a major contribution to the poor turnout of voters, but we also ask the people to come out and register," he added.

The IEBC officials conducting the registration process were also asked not to be reluctant in their job.

“The officials report to work as late as 11 am and in Keroka town they have decided to work from a private hotel called Flamingo which does not favour people from far," said William Omabiri.

"After realising that there has been a poor voter turnout we have asked our officials at the village level to mobilise people to come out and register as voters as Thomas Obare from Bobasi and the rest are doing," he added.
