Kibera MP, Ken Okoth, is now calling for area residents to ensure that they register as voters so that they can vote for leaders of their choice come 2017.
The legislator said he is looking forward to ensuring all constituency members come out in large numbers so that they can register as voters once IEBC kicks off the exercise.
''In order for the residents to have a say you need to register as voters so that we get the victory in the next general election,'' he said.
Okoth was speaking on Sunday at Kamkunji grounds where he met people from Kibera. He said there is no tyranny of numbers, noting that the people have the potential to register for the voters’ card. He said there are people with IDs who have failed to register for voters’ cards.
The MP said the big campaign will come in the next elections where the main aim of the rally will be to get people to come out and vote.
