President Uhuru will be back in Nakuru County in the coming months to commission the Sh 38 Billion Itare Dam.
Speaking on Thursday when he launched medical equipment at the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital, Uhuru said that Itere Dam will end all water supply challenges in Nakuru County & its environs till 2030.
"Once we commission the dam, you will no longer suffer from water shortage," he said.
Uhuru also said that his government had so far connected 709 primary schools in Nakuru County to main electricity grid and 130,000 households.
"This is close to the 146,000 households connected to electricity between 1963 and 2013. Only 34 schools remain and we will connect them to the electric grid in the coming weeks " said Uhuru.
The President was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto and other County officials.
