Two people have been confirmed dead after a vehicle hit a motorbike along the Kisumu-Kericho-Nairobi highway.
The unidentified man and woman were riding on the motorbike towards Ahero town by the time the accident occurred.
They died on the spot when the Toyota Prado hit them head on.
Witnesses said one of the Prado's front wheels burst before it veered off the road hitting the victims.
It overturned three time after hitting the motorbike, they said.
The accident occurred at a spot where another accident occurred last week when a lorry collided with a car.
The driver of the car escaped with minor injuries.
Nyando OCPD Elias Gitonga arrived at the scene of the accident.
"The driver lost control after the explosive puncture, veered off to the wrong side of the road before running into and sweeping the two off the road," he said.
