Speaking at St Stephens Lwanya Girls' High School in Busia County, Magoha said that the final preparations for the examination are over.  He reaffirmed that the ministry will uphold integrity by all means during the examination period.

He reminded teachers and parents to ensure that the students observe the code of conduct whenever they are handling examinations.  He also said that the ministry has added more security features on the papers to curb cases of cheating.

“I confirm to the nation that preparations for the exams are complete. We have even enhanced the security features of the examination process,” he said.

He noted that cartels will soon start selling fake examination papers on the market and urged parents, as well as teachers, not to fall victims to the con artists.

He challenged teachers and parents who will be tempted to purchase the papers to give him the money so that he can take it to church.

Magoha also reminded teachers against rushing to complete the syllabus to create room for revision saying it has a negative effect on the performance of some students.
